Denkoh Sekka
A titanic presence in the rhythm game community, Camellia has built a global fandom through his many compositions within the genre. As a Vocaloid producer, he's known for hits like "Play-With-Fire" and "Birthright Syndrome."
However, that's merely a cover story. In reality, he's an anomaly recruited to Project Onsoku for his potential to surpass the speed of sound. Phenomena linked to this entity include emitting laser-fast tracks that defy the laws of physics and releasing rhythm game charts that distort space-time.
Recently, he discovered that "LASER" is actually an acronym.
An illustrator and animator who has made art for the Pokémon Trading Card Game and worked as a character designer for Project Voltage, a collaboration between Hatsune Miku and the Pokémon series. They also create music videos, CD jackets, and character designs for other artists.
Ready, set... hello! I'm Camellia.
I created the song "Denkoh Sekka" for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.
Hatsune Miku provides the track's vocals, and thanks to her synergy with Sonic, this blue tag team transformed the song into one that's both electrifying and zips by in a flash.
I'm always pushing Miku to her limits, but for this track in particular, I'm glad she was able to take off and match Sonic's pace.
I know if someone asked me to keep up with Sonic, I'd be flat on my face before they even yelled "go."
I feel nothing but gratitude for Miku, though I'd expect nothing less from her.
I also want to thank Sonic for letting me be part of the soundscape for his racing adventures.
By the way, since noise can't keep up with objects moving faster than the speed of sound (I guess they do call it breaking the sound barrier), does that mean I have to match his speed for him to even hear my song?
It won't be easy, but I'll find a way.
This is Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds we're talking about—a game all about bringing worlds together.
My song is centered around Hatsune Miku and Sonic taking part in a race, both as competitors and allies.
He's a hedgehog who's faster than the speed of sound, and she's a virtual songstress who transcends worlds.
I used two contrasting sounds that were colliding at max speed—both melodies vying for the top spot before coming together as a harmony, fusing them into a song packed with the intensity, sharpness, and impact of blazing down a race track.
From there, it was only natural that Miku would be the vocalist, but I've also snuck in some sound effects and musical samples from the Sonic series.
The track has some easter eggs in places you wouldn't expect, so I encourage you to occasionally slow it down and listen carefully.
Coincidentally, it seems people refer to me as some kind of lightspeed man (according to my own research).
That's why it was incredible to race alongside this blue dynamic duo for the first time in my life.
Which racer will come out on top in the end? Well, that's for your ears to decide!
With that said, I'll see you at the finish line.
Ready, set...
Camellia out!
